The 2021 National Labor Force Survey (Skerne's) shows that the female participation rate in the work industry is still at 53%, far below the male participation rate which is 82%. This inequality in work participation rates then leads to various behaviors that are not gender friendly in the world of work, such as women who are considered to have low productivity, career opportunities and lower salaries than men, to violence and harassment in the workplace.

In the end, the double burden and unsupportive work environment make many women prefer the informal sector to actualize themselves by taking online courses and webinars, doing business, or working through informal communities. Opportunities for women to have careers and contribute to society do exist, but opportunities for women to actualize themselves and take advantage of these opportunities are still limited.
